It's very cool. What is your issue with it? I personally since start ing hc is like, 7-8 yeras ago must be, maybe more, i've died probably 10 times. Not more though. I know the tricks and the traps. Not 100% certain i won't ever die again, but i can say at least 95% certainty i won't die during a season. But i like to test limits .. try new things......

When trying barb first time in hc, and realy first time in adult life after playing zon for years..... i played barb, n it's like so different from ranged. Defense actually means something now. I got to act 4, out on the outer steppes. Now the enemies does a bit of damage. And they hit. You aren't gear ed up enough. And the big difference: When running, defense is zero. So i took on a big bunch, and of course running like a fool. Tanked about 60% hit points, 40% left, turned around an ran. Now i take several hits fast, and gets hit recovery, take two more quick hits = Ko. It happens fast. It's like, when you stand still, you take less hits. But when you start running = All hits come in. So if youo want to increase chances of usrviving, learn to press R when engaging a particularly difficult crowd. When youo walk, you only lose 50% defense, retaining a good deal of defense. But really, the best thing is to just stand still - i .e. retain 100% defense, and scope out the crowd befour encountering. Can you take them on? Make a calculated attack. And if youo must run, try to do it as fast as possible, i.e. do not let hit points go too low. that's dumb.

Another death was negromancer, the summoner. Getting to hell act 1, i was like i can endure somethings, i got all these summons, i'm safe. Went fine for a while, though with low resistances, especially cold resist, a boss monster fallen shaman with cold enchunt, he died, and the very last pixel of that cold frost death nova hit me, 800 hit point to zero = Ko. I was so annoyed and it was teaching. So looking out for those "enchanted" boss monsters, and keeping distancee ,is paramount.

Diablo's red lightning crhstimas hose is hard too. Especially in normal when low resists. You take big damage, be wary.

Mephisto can deal big damage.

You just gotta be awary of your're limits, n not take too big risks. If you want to survive. You can play rekless n go fast, but then you will die sooner or later. Facts of life. I think many people brag n say oh, i can do that in one hour, buti t's like, yes, they probably can, but it's like, they probably die ten times before making it that one time. N dey don't even care if they die. Not good enough, Kimahri!!! You gotta care, like. Or it will end in ruin and defeat. N it's not fun to die in hc...... not at all. Make sure to stock up on some items on mules, so you can start again if you should die.

i would play for at least 5 years and really master the game before you try hc because you will lose so much time invested to easily preventable mistakes.

what i do is always use a bo barb in game for the highest level of prebuffs before leaving town. low leveling is also a risk of death so just do some enchant leveling with raven claw. dont pick a char and build and start playing it hc without any gear instead use a mf char, build quality gear up to harden your main hc char. i like to use hammerdins (im aware its cookie cutter) because its so strong or windy druids. another favorite build i like on hc is bone necros and trappers also cs zons with furry. using support characters is a total game changer, if you have your own bo barb, enchant sorc and mf sorc temp main char you have +3 in game while you level your low level char so its faster. you can also password off the game to prevent any clowns from joining. the number one rule of hc is trust no one. if you cant self manage completely and have a expert skills then dont be on hc. in the end i find it futile to play on hc but some do, just quit hc and stay on sc. besides hc is a dead realm, sc is slightly better.
