Hi guys!
Probably I am not the only one who has this issues, but I hope to find support here.

So I bought a new Asus TUF Gaming A17 (enough RAM to launch Space-X) with the NVidia RTX2050 Videocard, on Win11 Home.
Installing D2LOD and hoping to have a REVELATION!!
Either ASUS sucks nowadays, or I am in a bad luck streak mode.

My other laptop is ASUS A53E from 2014, running Win7 and D2 fullscreen on 1366x768 resolution. Everything runs perfectly fine, can change Gamma and Brightness, also all colors are normal. Also, I can switch TABs using ALT+TAB very smooth, nothing hanging or stopping.

On the NEW laptop, TOTAL FAILURE.
Can`t find any settings or options to make the game experience look identical to the one on Win7. Colors are too crisp, the nice pale green from Win7 looks like poison in the new Win11, and I can hardly tell which item is YELLOW or BROWN.

Guys, please help, I am about to send back to Asus the new build 2023 laptop.

Uhmm ... hmm. What am i missing? The screenshot looks fine to me. My suggestion is to record video from gameplay from both laptops and upload it, so we can see properly. Use OBS studio.

But, the laptop probably has some screen settings doesn't it? I use a tv as a computer screen so i can change colour settings. I always disliked laptops, stationary and all separate compartments is best, you can control everything individually.

Not the case, I checked this.
Also, on the old laptop the Life / Mana value shows automatically above each correspinding bubble.

Quick google-fu:

Quote
After resetting variety of settings to system defaults and trying to do different reinstallations, I decided to take a different approach to fixing the problem.

I opened IntelĀ® Graphics Command Centre, went to 'Display' > 'Color' > 'Saturation' and increased the value from its default 50 to 60. This made my display as vibrant as before.

I am still not certain why the default value of 50 suddenly looks much more grayish after just doing a system reboot. But since increasing the saturation fixed the problem I was having, I am probably just going to use this as a fix for now.

EDIT: Apparenly that is just a temporary fix, as this has to be done every time I power on the lapop after shutdown. The "Saturation" value does not even have to be increased, it just needs to be manually "applied".

After doing more research, I am now 95% certain that KB5039212 update is the cause of this problem. It seems like this only affects some ASUS brand laptops.

I may end up creating another thread now that I know what has been causing this problem

Sounds like your issue but with undersaturation instead.

Edit: Seems like "armoury crate" can cause this aswell, might be worth disabling if it comes preinstalled on your PC and you dont intend to use it
