I equipped 'tearhaunch' which has +2 vigor.. my hammer dmg didnt increase.

How come ?

If a staff gives +2 to blizzard, that doesnt count towards damage either? whereas +2 to cold skills does?

If a staff gave +2 to ice blast (blizz’s synergy) your blizz damage would not go up

Same thing with tearhaunch. The +2 to vigor is hammers synergy. Therefore the hammer damage will not go up. The only way to up hammer damage is with +to blessed hammer OR + to concentration (or +combat skills/offensive auras/all skills)

No, if you have a skill which i a synergy to other skill - like vigor to hammer - then it will increase damage ot the primary skill only if you put points from your skill tree. If you have a gear with +skills then it will increase damage of all the skills that are marked as +skill, but synergies will not work
