Tl;dr: I made a shit sorc on purpose, but it's fine. 4/10 would do again
Just wanted to talk abotu the sorc ive been playing on this ladder.

My buddy I used to play with years ago started playing, so the goals of what I wanted to do was this:
1) Wanted to make a build that was flexible with what gear is needed, so we could pump value into any/all his characters
2) Have something that could tele without nigma
3) Something that would be able to farm at least 1 area in hell
4) Something that could be a bit tanky,even if it didnt output too much damageI went full ES/firewall/warmth with suplimental static/lighting/frost nova dmg
This obviouslly isn't the best built/gear for damage,tankiness, or anything, just what I'm currently using.
My merc stays dead most the time, as I'm barely able to do enough solo runs to generate enough gold to keep him alive, but his gear currently is treachrey, inisght tresher, tal's helm.
The other thing, is that I started statting up a similar sorc that I could use a bit of a gear upgrade, and if I find 3-4 items for this build I can transfer it over on ladder resset.
GreatAllll that being said, she''s pretty damn tanky. I've made an immort sorc before, but I didn't really understand all the maths of it and shit. I kinda just got items that I heard were good for the build. Playing around with like a dwarf star instead of an soj for mdr+15 vs + a boatload of mana is fun. The dwarf deff lets you take hits so much more. soj just helps with dmg output and tanking more evenly.
She's go 331 life/1993 mana on a good day, and it pretty much stays right there, since when we had the chance to make a cta, his sorc got it. That being said, usuaally what takes me out is trying to telestop a mod with frostnova, 1 of them has mana burn, and the rest of them gangbang my fast cuz I dont have enough fhr to tele out.
I spend most my time farming countess,andy, and mephy-boi. As they're realitively low kill threat, and easy enough mobs around them. They go down pretty fast with static/fire wall, even without the LR wand.
His first char was a pretty typical orb sorc, then zealer, now he's starting a zon for the first time. I ended up making a fireclaw full aldurs bear as an alt to melee along side his zealer too. (Fire dmg to offset the physicl dmg too)
This build has paid off just as much as I thought it would. Working with his ice sorc I can tank and off-set his cold dmg w/o infinity. I can tank mobs to key farm Nith now, and his zealer and ko him while I tank mobs.
This build is pretty great in a supporting role, and with how cheap im able to run around in hell and do some support-ass damage is pretty dope. There's still so much room for improvement, and the early game is sooo rough, and just dying all the time with zerooo dmage. So it's fun. especially I'm used to flying around 1 hitting mobs in nonladder and being totally op, make me apeciate my nl characters even more.
Few things I'm trying to work towards is griffs,wizzy,Gbane, better/perf gerkes,crafted ammy,crafted boots. Will be cool to see hoe far I can take this char this ladder, how much I can end up tanking. My goal is just to be fully imortal before the end of ladder. Could care less about the dmage
