I've made it to hell every season, that's not the issue. The issue is that as far as i can remember, i've encountered countless boss packs going through the acts. Even just outside a1 camp, there would be several boss packs, lots of danger. This season, i think i can count on both hands how many boss packs i've encountered through act 1. 10 or less, not counting the unique bosses. That is quite strange. Encountering many of them is a double edged thing on hardcore, yes you get more drops and more experience, but it also increases risk a lot.

But this season there seems to be a lot less. Also seeing the same though act 2 now.

Anyone else experience the same thing?

Bumping this again. Have done about 30-50 chaos runs in hell to now. I'm seeing the same thing. Many runs, i don't even encounter ONE single boss pack, or champions. The last 5 runs, strangely, i've seen one or even two boss packs.

Back in the earlier seasons, there definitely were much more.

the number of unique/champion packs is hard-coded for each region within a min-max range. are you doing full clears?

Yes, or at least i inadvertently check them, may run past a few but i still see if there is a boss pack or champions.

But how many are there for chaos sanctuary?

amazonbasin lists 6(min) to 7(max) unique/champion packs (should not include seals as they are super uniques afaik)

Wow... does it include the river of flame? I guess i'll have to start be more thorough... i am 99,9% certain that is not correct.

They must all be in a group chat and when you are near they quick text HIDE!

are you using a trap sin that lays wake of fire or sentries at all? those count towards your unique/champ pack limit in legacy

river of flame is its own are (all the way from the stairs past hell forge up to chaos sanctuary), also with 6-7 packs

i trust amazonbasin more than the gut feeling of individual players, but if you have reproducible proof that AB is wrong, feel free to convince the community

this sounds weird. so if i enter any area and place 10 traps, i will no longer be able to find any packs in the area (besides super uniques)?
