Hi everyone. What is the current situation on permanent account bans (8) for running bots like Kolbot on legacy? Is this still a thing?

Always a chance but unlikely. Also last banwave (years ago) was cdkeys not accounts

some of my accounts were separated from me via different ip and had noting used - they got banned to

different email
different ip
different cdkeys


i even ran them on a different virtual machine + ip

didn't matter they got banned to. tons and tons of instances of users who did nothing got banned it was not a ban wave but a forest fire.

if they did a ban wave there would be nobody left on lod

yes this is true it just means i need better coding skills and more advanced bots that emulate a human better

A lot of those guys had botters level their characters at one point or a friend that had programs login to their account.
Or straight lied about not cheating — aka some of the pvp’ers/ fpk’ers that got banned

i payed for an extra set of cdkeys with a different payment method over a vpn

the accounts + cdkeys + different registered email + ip + unique passwords + browser fingerprints and cookies + separate virtual machine never contaminated by crossing cdkeys/ip/account ever.... the results were about the same: 1/3 of accounts that had logged in within 30 days before banned were hit. in active accounts on the next refresh rotation were not effected at all.

it seemed it was a blanket ban. i did not know anyone who did not lose a few accounts.

My vision is they had so many support complaints after that one that they stopped banning the accs.

I recall using one of the earlier bots, then stopped for a few years. It got hit in the end anyway
