Check if its only with this old game happening or if its with anything else you do online (watching films/streams, other games) so the problem can be with your internet connection, usually later time more people are connected in the internet by yours internet provider and this affecting yours that not good and you should talk about provider with it. Many cases can be so hard to tell why morning good and later lags
but all depends if problems are not only diablo, but if you can investigate that other things are slowered/lagged too in later time.
If it is only d2 than its simple, typical oldbug game, everyone got some sort of problems with it, different than others ^
