Hello all,

I was bored so I decided to make this small analysis

So I've noticed that in recent time especially after d2r came out, situation in diablo 2 community evolved.
First of all there are not many people left, that is understandable, but secondly behavior from the players who decided to stay changed.
Everyone wants to sell, but there are no buyers. That led me to conclusion that the community (or what is left from it) is unequally divided. So how the demography is divided today?

iuno, like 30 people in uswest channel and 1 enchant room up. while i'm sitting over here doing private trist runs enjoying every nostalgic memory i can on a dead server

maybe i'll transcend to public tomb runs one of these days!

still more socialization than d4 though

diablo 2 has channels, games and a lobby. it does not have "rooms", new players just rebrand all names because they are crossover players from different games.

"enchant room" means a game with the word enchant in the title

im aware of the rebranding it just does not fit d2

a new wave of players from discord around 2017 changed a lot of very old d2 terms

Don't agree with that. I've been playing since 2003 and enchant room or game has been used interchangeably plenty of times

not on west or east, it was not until around 2017 and the rise of discord did i start tracking this change. its just a new wave of players and fewer older vet players.

i started d2 in 2000 on classic... everyone back then called it "games" as well.
