I've been trying to get Martel de Fers gambling, and I've gotten several rare Great Mauls, but no Martel de Fers, rare or magic. I was told it was possible, but clearly either the probability is much lower than the 10 percent to get a rare, or I was misinformed.

I found the formula: Chance of Exceptional upgrade = 1 + (ilvl - exceptional qlvl) * 90 / 100, but I'm not sure what I would plug in for ilvl. My character is level 75, and the quality level of a Martel de Fer is 53. Assuming this works for Pre-Expansion, it'd be good to know for reference.

Find white martel and use imbue quest That is what i do, but yeah iirc it is possible to gamble but odds were small or you are just unlycky

no you can't gamble exceptional items
