Hey guys, I’m playing around some fun pala builds and I’m a bit confused about how fcr affects foh.
I understand that there is a delay between the casts which can not be shortened by fcr above 75, am I right?
I’ve also read that there are different fcr breakpoints for FoH, e.g 39 and 86.
Since my build is only for PvP and I won’t use eni TP, holy bolt cast rate is irrelevant. A significant amount of my dmg would come from foh so I’d like to clarify what fcr should I go for - right now I’m sitting on 40, should I aim for 48, or do I even need fcr at all for this build? :D thanks a lot for your help!

It doesn’t

e: It just make you swing your arm faster, skill itself lands with same speed iirc, can be wrong tho.

fcr doesnt affect the delay length, but just makes it come out sooner on ur first cast

Right, the delay is not affected, but I thought the slower animation itself reduces the overall damage output not just from the first cast. Or is the delay counted from the beginning of the animation, not the end of it? Thanks!

75 fcr and you are fine, enough for teleporting also, 125 fcr and you sacrefice too much dmg.

Thats the deal, I wont use enigma (tp fcr doesnt matter) or play PvM (holy bolt fcr doesn't matter) - this is just a fun build - so I was wondering if I even need any fcr at all or I should aim for 18/30/48/75 fcr, strictly focusing on the damage output / time of FoH in pvp

Unless you plan to use a tele charged item dont bother.. stack more mana and just just charge to boot around. Redemption is a nice skill to help out. With foh you can juggle all kinds of auras since none really effect it directly unless you are going to pvp (conviction)

I see, thanks! Basically I miss fhr in my build so I was wondering if I even need 20 fcr from gloves or I can sacrifice it to get 40 life and 30 fhr from bloodfist :)

i am not 100% sure bc it has been some time when i last read about it, but:
iirc the delay frames are counted after your action frame. since the delay is fixed, you might want to go for break points purely based on action frames. for paladin these are at 15/39/86 fcr. so if you want to consider fcr at all (remember: casting delay of 1 second is equal to 25 frames, so +/- 1 frame is not much!), you might want to try and reach one of those

I see, thanks for the explanation!
