Hei guys I have a small queries maybe you can help.

I have this FOH palla the skills look like this:
So basically
MAX HOLLY BOLT
MAX FIST OF THE HEAVENS

MAX HOLY SHOCK

MAX RESIST LIGHT

3 POINTS SALVATION

13 TO HOLY SHIELD

1 IN THE OTHERS SKILLS THAT ARE NEED IT ONLY.

Now I am playing with Holy shock on because i want the light damage also.

My question is that now i have a basic helm with 3 combat skills and basic amu with 3 combat skills.

For the above build will 2 all skills work better on both, because will also give 2skill to holy shock, resist light and salvation wich will add dmg to light, that 3 just to combat?

Thank you for your answers.

synergies only work with hard points, not boni from gear. so your resist light and salvation will not boost your foh dmg more than they already do, the only benefit will be +2 to holy shock

I believe it's better to have +all skills rather than a single tree; you'll reach higher damage in FoH/Holy Bolt with single tree bonus, but IMHO that hinders your capability to deal with Lightning Immunes (you can go with Smite + Fana to kill immunes/bosses). If you used Conviction rather than Holy Shock as the main aura, the +all skills would be better to free hard points from Conviction (it caps at Level 25, giving -150% res).

Also, keep in mind the FCR breakpoints to increase your overall DPS.

thank you, but surviving is not an issue, I just need as much dmg I can get.

For that end, Holy Bolt alone deals the bulk of damage in higher density settings, and Holy Shock deals more damage if you connect hits via Zeal (the area pulse has lower damage and ticks periodically, and damage scales according to proximity). IMHO, to deal more lightning damage you'd be better with a Level 25 Conviction Aura; for the average enemy it'd double FoH lightning damage, it deals with Lightning immunes (at least the breakable ones) and it also helps merc connecting more hits. For FoH builds, you must be aware that your merc will do the heavy lifting against Animal types if you play outside the regular farming zones (Chaos, Pit) or farm A5 (the guest monsters thing).

Personally, I use Holy Shock + Zeal occasionally to kill Animal non-Lightning immunes, but my gear has melee capabilities; for Animal Lightning immunes, I use Smite + Fana or skip past them if possible, IMHO it's more efficient doing so. Conviction also help with Animals because you squeeze some damage by sniping enemies with low HP (those hedgehogs that spill needles fall fast to some FoH blasts).

Also, FCR means Faster Cast Rate; the mor FCR you have, the faster you launch spells and deal more damage. Hammerdin players aim for 125% FCR, but for FoH IMHO this has diminishing returns due to the fixed Cast Delay. I go with 48% and play just fine.
