started a druid in HC and wondering what's a decent build to do.

Tornado/hurricane or fury werewolf

If you play Resurrected then Fire Sunder is key to make effective Fire Druid, 99Fcr is max what you need, previous break point is 68(?) what should be enough and easy to reach so you can focus to max your Dmg out put. If you play vanilla LoD then 99Fcr Tornado Druid is what you are looking for. Always max dmg over life ( Oak ) as Druid.

If you are looking challenge then Fire Claw Werebear is build what you are looking for. Personally i like more Werebear than Werewolf, but it’s all about personal preferences.

There is also some variations about ” Shaman ” ( Fire / Summon Bear ) and ” Avatar ” ( Armageddon / Hurricane ) but personally i don’t have much experience about those so cant say how they works. Also i have seen Hurricane based Druids ( use NW and Doom ).

Can you cast fissure in werewolf form?

Nope, you have to be in human form to cast any elemental skill. Only castable skill is shock wave in shape&shift skill tree and you had to be in Werebear form to do that.
