I'm thinking of starting back up in D2. Wasn't the biggest fan of D2R. I haven't played since about 2019. Is the community any more active or dead? Mainly just into PvE content.

Softcore no ladder for pvp
If u enjoy pvm hc ladd is far most popular

if you want pvm your best chance would be single player sir

go download hero editor and thet 1.11 item pack and play around with a few builds you wana try. do all testing on single player as much as possible because you will have a hard time getting those items on ladder because the realms are so under populated.
