For duelers who use Toothrow armor, do they care if the "Attacker takes damage" mod is perfect, or only the defense?

So when one says "ISO Perf Toothrow", are they wanting Perf Def only?

In my opinion if someone is looking for perfect, expectation is perfect stats all around.

Right, right. I just know there are a few exceptions. But I'll assume so for Toothrow then since the Attacker Takes Damage mod is seemingly useful for duels.

keep in mind that this dmg is only applied to melee attackers, is not affceted by any ed and reduced to 17% in pvp as well as by your opponent's dr
20 atd therefore translates to 20*0.17=3 dmg after pvp unit multiplier and further to 3*0.5=1 dmg after 50dr (assuming melee duelers have indeed capped dr...). on the other hand 40 atd equals 3 dmg, so the difference is marginal. if there is any integer dr on your opponent's gear, it may also be fully negated, so it may be completetly pointless and a pure show-off stat

 I see, I see. How interesting. Thanks for explaining that. I looked into some more info about "melee dueling and toothrow" and now see most of them desire it on a BvB or WW for the 40ow and high def. So, in this case, the Atd mod might not make much of a difference. But I won't forget that 40atd is perf.

Usually people want the desired stats that is needed or affects duels in a way unless otherwise stated.
Although for the melee community members, they probably mean 100%.

Diablo 2 Discussion > Poll > "perfect" - What Does This Mean?
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=100049703

For example, if you go ingame and see a game named "Pgrief ft".
You will just see 400 or 34+/400 or 40/400 rolls for trade a majority of times.

Its just how what people think and when people want to 'click bait' people into looking at their item to trade it.

* It is still worth to keep a max roll on both defense for toothrow without max ATD.

Ngl, that does sound fun. As best of a "Thorns" build as you can get on D2, perhaps.

But through all the discussion, it confirms that there are uses for both perf and non-perf ATD Perf Def Toothrow's.

Thanks for the help all. I'll start hunting them for you duelers.
