Hey was wondering if any setup uses a rare weapon with +1 to a class skills or none at all (not including eth rep). Also wondering if any sorc builds use the demon heart

Also wanna know what stats are desirable on the sorc clasped orbs or necro off hands or if those items aren’t used for pvp

for melee chars, skills on weapon are not needed. dmg is key, but it depends on whole build. possible prefixes are (iirc): 2sox, 300ed, 150ed/XXar, fools, 2skills. since you can have 3 prefixes at max, there are very good weapons without 2skills. if a weapon only offers 1 skill, it might still be good enough for MLD but hardly for HLD

es fb sorcs can use orbs, but they have to be very good (2skills, 3fb, 3mastery is the goal plus useful ads like life, mana, sox, rep, additional skills, ...)

necro shields can find spots in VLLD (?), LLD and MLD (?), but in HLD spirit is just to good to hit the important fcr breakpoint

Wow thanks. For the first part— so 2sox 300ed rare non eth rep can be worth a lot? What would be the desirable suffixes? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a rare weapon with just 2os and 300ed

If a unique or a runeword can take that spot and do better, then the rare won't do justice.
Most of the time, shine more during low / mid level dueling due to the restriction.

For sorceress, teleport (saving skill points from investing into the skill branch), Main/sub-dps skill, warmth, one of the 3 cold armors, one of the 3 element masteries.
At the very least, it would require +2 sorceress, main/sub-dps along with element mastery (since level requirement does not matter much and you want the best of the best for pvm).
Open sockets and the other described skills. (it has to outshine in terms of damage when compared to uniques / runewords).
Follow up with the usual rare orb stats that can be found on it (health / mana / life rep / resistance).

As for Necro shields, its the usual suspects for pvm.
Summons would be the best thing to look for.
Skeleton mastery / revive / any 'summons' / corpse explosion

Without eth, a rare melee weapon is pretty much useless since eth adds so much damage. The only exception would be on something like a fire claws Druid where a 40ias, fools, 2os phase blade would be decent..but fire claws druids suck ass.

Magic grand sceptre type weapons also can have some niche use for example a 2 pala, 10 fcr, 3 foh, 3conv 2os can be used on foher/vt swap. Similar ones can be found for hammers at the lld mld and HLD brackets

Some necro wands can be used for LLD and sorc orbs can be used at any lvl bracket potentially. Necro heads with 2skilks, 3bone spear, 3 bone spirit and deflecting mod with 2os can spawn as well which is very nice.

Yes you can have and its desireble +2 Skills on melee weapon + ethereal repairs dura.
You just miss one socket, it cant spawn with 2 sockets than if it spawn woth those skill add.

But it will be pretty good as 2 skill adds 2 Fana/Zeal to paladins wich is very good tho for example

About sorceress and necromancer,
Usuall it needs to be 49lvl req item max so for MLD use
