Is it better to grind LK or countess when aiming for grief? Cubing the runes I find obviously is the route I’ll be taking unless a random Lo drops

farm hell player 5 lk on a sorca, has the highest chance for Lo.
farm cows for pb base.

for lk, find the best static map with 2 chest spawns, and spam it.

Blizz Sorc and Players 5 at LK, check only super chests near bonefire(s) and kill uniq mobs on your way.

the best place in the entire game is hell chaos in full hell games.

ghosts have limited drop tables so they have higher chances of hr drop, there is also champs, unique that have drop tables higher then area they are in.

you can expect an hr drop in about 50-100 games but sometimes the drops are really abundant. in one game i have found jah/ber or sur lo

chaos is always #1
trav is great
nith is great

you can even get jah runes in act 1 from the ghosts in the tower

any tc 85 area is game for hrs but some areas are better then most. chaos has highest monster density with a static map, a lot of champs, uniques monsters.


lower kurast and chest poping reallyl can find hrs but its the slowest fucking shit you can ever do and the tc is limited, its work for bots. yes hrs can drop but it will take longer then you expect.



how can you test this? go on single player, install hero editor and put standard hdin gear on a pally, install d2bs and test on single player with players 8 use say"/players 8" and the bot will say it. test how many runs it takes to find a ber then a jah. what you will find is chaos is the best place in the entire game to find all the good stuff: griffons, coa, hrs, deaths fathom, ect.



i never run cows omfg that place is stupid. cows have a limited tc - so your not gonna find everything like chaos (tc 85) also cows does have the highest monster density in the entire game but it has few champs, uniques vs chaos.

also kill every monster in chaos dont jump around and hit champ packs or hit seals like a noob - kill everything or if your in pub games try for 90% clear of chaos but target champs/uniques first then take out pack. use high damage high tank builds like a hdin, light sorc, bliz sorc, trapper. if necessary work in a team of 2-3 so all seals are cleared and monsters are cleared.
