can someone explain me, why lvl 9 pvp characters prefer military picks and war axes over etheral crystal swords?

bc ethereal weapons break once their durability is down to 0. eth items without repair/indestructible are usually banned by GM community rules
also if eth was possible, people would go for eth military picks over eth crystal swords

a eth crystal sword has no durability

and therefore it has the highest dps and with 6 sockets on top

afaik these lvl 9 duellers are using 1 handed 6 socket weapons and fill it with 9max 20ed jewels - and i was wondering why no one is using an etheral crystal sword

crystal swords and dimensional blade do have durability, only the phaseblade does not
