So I tried doing ubers earlier with my WW barb and got shit on cause I didn't realize that altho organ bosses can be lifestolen
uber trist bosses dont give any lifesteal.

So my suggestion:

1). Can I throw my merc's treachury on myself and proc it before running into uber-trist so I don't get analfked by mephisto's negative resists?
Will the fade proc be removed if I unequip the treachury?

2). Lifetap wand, would it be a great idea to throw on a lifetap wand

3). Does lifetap give crushing blow lifesteal? In the idea that I CB a boss for 100k hp and it'd give me a 50k hp heal?

Can you lifesteal from uber diablo and uber baal but not mephisto?

1. yes, this is a common procedure. equip treachery, go to river of flames wp or outside of town in A5 and stand in one of the fires until fade procs. then switch back to your normal armor. it will last 288 seconds (4 min 48 sec)

2. yes. you NEED a source of life tap. with chars like smite or frenzy barb you can use draculs for life tap proc. since procs don't work with WW, you need charges: either a wand or marrow walk boots will do

3. life tap works on total physical dmg, so cb dmg will also work. I am not sure though if there are any penalties, quick search didn't give reliable results. have to look a bit more into that

3) no. Life steal doesn't work with crushing blow.

Uber Baal has drain effectiveness = 20
Uber Diablo has drain effectiveness = 15
Uber Mephisto has drain effectiveness = 0
It means life leach against them are, respectively, multiplied by 20%, 15% and 0%.

It's not lifesteal, it's lifetap, and lifetap is stated as healing for 50% dmg done to an enemy, not 50% lifesteal.

Yes indeed, life tap will return 50% attack-damage done to targets, regardless of drain effectiveness.
So you can use it against Uber Baal, Uber Diablo and Uber Mephisto with the same efficiency.

the question to be answered now is: does life tap only work on "regular" weapon dmg or also on "bonus" dmg from cb/ds? I think the latter is the case but I am not 100% sure of there is some hidden non-intuitive game mechanic here...

Life tap damage does not work with cb. But if you happen to land a deadly strike or critical strike and double dmg the life tap will work with it.

From personal experience on a smiterdin, the milisecond LT pops I get full hp when smiting ubers.
As they go lower and lower in hp my lifesteal gets worse and worse

If I was lifestealing only based on base damage and not CB damage my lifesteal would remain unaffected the entire time. Hence my belief lifetap IS affected by CB

so you say it works and says it doesnt. thats why i was hoping for an external source
