So it's come to my attention that grief phaseblades are useless..... in a sense. (For whirlwind barb)

I've realized dual wielding 2x griefs is worse than just using the better grief in the main hand.

If you're using grief is there even a point to dual wielding? What would you dual wield with grief for the best dps output?

What's the best DPS output in general?

I'm seeing a lot of people say a 40-400 Collosus blade grief (2-hander) is the best dps a WW barb can do.

where does this come from? with a second grief you hit twice as much, although the hits with the lower rolled one will do a bit less dmg. but still, dps roughly doubles when equipping a second one

ya its better because open wounds does huge damage, fanta helps with damage / ar

greif / beast is the standard for ww barbs thats never going away

greif/greif is a pvm setup and its in pb's

d2 does not use dps but damage per frame,

makes no sense, they might be trying for the weapon range of 3 yards but thats the same as a zerker while a pb is 2.

as for setups grief beast zerks are the standard but in different pk situations you might need grief / ss + ber for anti melee or vs windys. its good to have on weapons slot 1 grief beast then on slot 2 grief ss.

remember the game is 23 years old so there are millions of posts where people rant about dual griefs or grief beast in pk.

So it don't get much better than 2x griefs in phaseblades for PvE?

d2 is pvm and pvp, but for a pvm ww barb they use dual pb griefs + a ring that has mana leach or gloves with leach. a ring with dual life/mana works too. if in doubt test it on single player with hero editor to get the tweaks right.

Don’t use same setup between pvm and pvp. Use dual grief in pvm and griefz/beastz in pvp.

Use BotD + grief
No need for craptastic leach rings, use w/e you want- ie 2x Rfrost for max AR
Adds +30 attributes
Both Indestructible - not repairing weapons every 3 minutes
60% ias and 31% ias respectfully is enough for max ww BP

Beast is fine, but looking for it in trade on jsp and it's nearly non existent.
