Because blizzard let the hackers run rampant in their game once again.
90% of the player base probably already quit when they saw unperm runes selling.
The other 10% are either duping, benefiting from duping, or people that think their bots will make them fg.

the unperm rune selling was literally a troll..

I think besides the first d2R launch or the first ladder reset, and maybe ONE time on d2 LOD it has always been this way; ladder reset, bunch of bots so 2nd day prices go down etc etc
