I've watched several videos and have some questions still..

So casting multiple poison novas is useless as they dont stack??
Does killing with poison damage count as your kill for mana/kill procs?

yes and yes:

poison nova doesn't stack, applying the skill for a second time only resets the timer. but poison length is fixed at 2 seconds, so you may cast it in fairly quick succession to avoid downtime where minions are not poisoned

maek and laek work if your poison dmg kills the monster. they don't work however if your merc or any summon steals the kill
