It's not a shitty game. Proof is that it's won more awards than any other computer game probably ever and certainly more so in indie games. Even then, what says that a game is good is when a vast number of players consider it to be. and with millions of players, you can't say they are wrong. millions of players can't be wrong. If you are one of the few people that doesn't like minecraft that is only because you made a quick decision without even looking at it properly.
Oh ya and the most purchased game of the year on xbox is also minecraft and the version on xbox has half the content.
Minecraft is what you make it and if you didn't like it, then you just didn't know how to do what you wanted to do.
Now I understand that we are on d2jsp forums and that most people here have been playing the same game for 10 years. Probably most of the people on here are hard headed and would dismiss anything the second it's not like d2.
