I agree with You. Mf bots work against the mechanics of this game in my eyes.
Spambots are ok for me since it's possible to ignore them.
It's also ok for me if someone uses a bot to lvl, if this person is too lazy/got no time for it. (this does not mean that I wouldn't be happy if they get removed forever one day. I always prefer playing 100% legit!)
Tbh I am not a PvM fan but i prefer legit baalruns/diaruns and i need to know that i lvled my chars by myself (i don't like to play chars that are lvled by a program, do not ask me why :D).

The worst thing in my eyes are PvP hacks. I don't know why people use it. Maybe they get satisfied by it. Will never understand this.

Finally items will have value again.
This game will be pretty hard without hacks, trying getting a legit enigma now bitch!
Even rare items and low runewords and and and well anything could have value again now.
This should be great for trading and jsp to be honest.

Though i'm very disappointed there will be no Maphack though that is gonna be tough.

This game doesn't even take long to level, if you're too lazy to level you shouldn't play D2 at all. Takes a while to 99 but it's not very necessary to have a strong character. It's more for people to show their achievement of grinding out so much exp

Hate to break it to you guys... but now the only guys who own bots are the really rich guys.

So at reset there is gonna be a big gap between the haves and have nots. Which has always been true. But usually there are so many "haves" that the "have nots" end up with bites of that apple. Will still be apples... just not as many.

Yeah I've pretty much came up with the same line of thought too. The private hacks might still function and they are NOT going to share those.
I mean the best hacks are still not shared. If there really will still be people botting it will be noticeable pretty easily I think, and on jsp as well, people suddenly offering well tons of stuff that they really couldn't have gotten that quickly.
I am really gonna miss maphack though, it doesn't ruin the game that much in my opinion.
Would be willing to pay for a maphack but I bet I wouldn't be alone in that so it would prolly still be too risky.
I am really looking forward though I was already planning on playing the next ladder again after a break so this is perfect!

Hopefully they will do this right though, like a real anti hacks fix before the reset and please don't tempban us for muling anymore matter of fact.. fix it so we don't have to mule so much.
I believe the popular bots are currently being updated to work on 1.14a again since there's wasn't any real upgrade to the hack detection yet. The devs of those hacks are optimistically promising there will be working versions again.
So we will have to see what really happens ofc.
