Now that 99% of people have items that come from botting, have used service done with botting, I don't see how a return to legit playing makes sense.
The game is so old now, people spend a lot less time on it. How would you manage to find new items (which is one of the main reasons people enjoy d2) without them?
If YOU have the time to play so much you can mf manually, you can do that in single player.
If blizzard found a way to delete all botted/imported/whatever items, and start fresh. I might be ok with playing legit again.
But given the state of the game and what has brought us to what it is today, it just doesn't make sense anymore...
let them waste their time doing runs. if they value themselves so little, to spend their life clicking away in diablo for practically negligible gains, then they will be fat and old and ugly before they realize that they have been granted the magical existence of human life and that they just wasted a lot of it clicking for pixels
