Been doing legit baals with a friend and it just seems fairly natural like it did back in 1.10 and so forth. They have been almost full alot of the time as well. Botting just makes lazy people sitting at their computer even more fucking lazy. I mean I have enough characters and all that so I don't need to find anything for them, but it just seems alot more fun to me at least. Let's bring the game back to the people! But of course bots have re-appeared, would be good if they could just get perma banned.

I just pick up all the coal the guys in trucks drop on their way back and end up with a truckload myself. No truck required.

The only asshat is the asshat who shows up to a coal depot expecting a days income for 3 nuggets of coal.



Gear finding, trading, and showing off is some of the fun - but the game climate without bots makes it literally ALL THEIR IS TO DO.

I love duels in this game, I would rather be dueling than grinding items. But if you are constantly grinding items to get an edge in dueling, you can't duel.

is it too hard to play game without hax? i mean if its dont play. and fu all who want cheap gear.

Game is awesome to play without hacks. Back in Nov 2013. It took my 2 months or so to get the following char with awesome gear. Not Min-maxed but awesome; Skeletonmancer which could do ubertrists, a psn-novamancer with enigma, coh, etc, a old school 1.09D orb-thunderstorm sorb with CAH etc, and in the end a Winddruid with the recommended gear. 2 months to get these 4 awesome characters. I heavily grinded the 85+ area's, traded my ass, and much more. It takes dedication to do this kind of stuff.

In the end I had a lot of fun MF-ing with my psn-nova. It was the best time i've ever had in Diablo 2. Beer, music, thoughts on zero and grinding with that banana! Sadly I lost all my chars due the 90s days thingy

The 90 days thing is the best reason for bots - when you have like 20+ accounts, you honestly expect people to maintain characters manually? pleeez

that said i dont use any hacks at all, and its a lot of fun to play that way, but i definitely rely on the hackers substantially and anyone who plays on closed bnet probably does too even if they don't realize it.

Well, you can duel with the items that you've found. My point was, you shouldn't need perfect gear in order to enjoy playing your character.

Back in the day I was duelling on a Necromancer wearing Trang-Oul's set. Didn't have any less fun than when I had good gear.

This old botting vs legit times discussion...

Now that 99% of people have items that come from botting, have used service done with botting, I don't see how a return to legit playing makes sense.
The game is so old now, people spend a lot less time on it. How would you manage to find new items (which is one of the main reasons people enjoy d2) without them?

If YOU have the time to play so much you can mf manually, you can do that in single player.
If blizzard found a way to delete all botted/imported/whatever items, and start fresh. I might be ok with playing legit again.

But given the state of the game and what has brought us to what it is today, it just doesn't make sense anymore...
