When i started playin in 2002 my sisters husband showed me the game, he even let me play with his chars and acc. I used his barbarian and i died in maggot lair. I knew if you get back the body you get all the items, but didn't know what happens if you can't get the body. I was assuming i lost everything. Ofc in maggot lair i couldn't get the body, so i was literally scared what's gonna happen.


Not long after that i was playing my own barbarian. I even used jsp to get ideas what weapon i should get for my crazy frenzy barbarian. They showed me the rw OATH and a hint that i should put it in eth balrog blade.
In that times you were farming mostly hell cows for socketed items. So i farmed for ages, and i was **** happy when finally ETH bb dropped.
I had no runes whatsoever so i had to mf alot, and i got really lucky i found like 2 sojs and 5 shakos one night. So i ended up with an extra UM rune with mal and pul.

I was so excited, i checked the rw on the net before each rune clicked in. I was hoping good ED you know.
And then i've put the last rune in and it says GEMMED.... Wtf?!

Managed to put SHAEL PUL MAL UM into the sword..
I remember laughing so hard and showing it around to my friends. The was one of my first fails. Eventually i cleaned it with hel cuz i needed the sword. Made an oath in the end and had tons of fun with it.

Made a stupid mistake some years ago and sold my pala items, thought i would never come back to d2..
but came back and saw my old amu is now being sold as unperm... LAME! it was a pretty sweet amu, but who would need it unperm lol
and my old ring i regret selling even more, i been looking for a similar one, but seems impossible to find, plus it would cost alot more then what i payed for it back then..

Somehow accidentally dropped my Last Wish phase blade after killing Hell Baal in public game.

Had inventory open to drop a weapon I did not want (had to have been a white phase blade or else I would have noticed) and I must have accidentally equipped it when I moved the cursor over to drop it and clicked again thinking I didn't drop it, but actually just dropped my Last Wish.

Everyone left so fast and I knew there was a slim chance on getting it back. It took me a long time to make that runeword and there was no way I was going to grind for it again so I bought a $1.20 money order and mailed it to a bot company to get a new Last Wish.

I can only imagine how that person must have felt when they picked up that Last Wish...
