I find it odd that people always abuse this bug for making armors and shields, but never use it for merc helms.
Maybe you should have added the helm formula when you first posted this, Souforte.

Blizzard has known about this since August 1st. They've released a patch since then. Besides... it needs to be patched, along with the other 10,000+ bugs.

Also, nice add Souforte. Maybe people will realize they can increase the defense on helms now.

You cannot use this for Superior/Low Quality/Magic/Rare/Set/Unique items. Only on plain ethereal armors.
