this is going to be the cube. I'll use the chest (stash in town) as receptacle. In act 2 this mechanism will take the staff of kings and the amulet and if you get both of them it will turn on an output to give you the horadric staff and/or open doors/save progress.

This is a very simple circuit that checks if both items in the chest are gone to open the door. The player cannot exit the room without taking both items. Exiting the room refills the chests and re-closes the doors for the next player. this will most likely be the first room before they get teleported to act 1. it will give the player a weapon and the quest log (book containing all the details / lore / etc I'll have to write the entire d2 plot in this thing --_-)

And this is a very compact destination chooser for the acts (commonly known as waypoints)
When the pressure plate is pressed, the player teleports to the chosen destination ONLY if he has activated the waypoint he is trying to go to. pressing the button will scroll through the destinations and prompts him accordingly.
This model of waypoint is only for the cities, not for the wilderness. The one for the wilderness doesnt scroll, it just teleports you back to town so if you want to choose your destination you need to go to town first. What's cool about this one is that if you have the waypoint already and you come in range, the lights will turn on indicating that you have it. If you don't you press on the plate and it turns on (just like in the game). Press again and it will teleport you.
