arreats gives you a higher chance to hit, more damage on non-crit hits, and more damage on crit hits, and a lesser chance to crit
its completely dependent on the target

for example, at 5000 hp / 50 dr, the breakpoints for damage on FHR are:
3750 for 37.5%
7500 for 75%
15000 for 100%

since the crushing blow doesn't help whatsoever towards FHR, its really the %AR and higher damage that matters here. It makes you more likely just to eke over that 7500 bp

Well only crits are going to break the 7500 mark, and guil does more of those.

don't forget your 75% blocking in there :3
ratio stays the same, ofc.

So including the CB, you might be getting +2.5% overall damage, compared to arreats
So to list the pros / cons:

Guillaimes:
+2.5% overall damage (comparable to getting an extra +22% enhanced damage jewel over the arreats)

Arreats:
+2.5% overall life* null if using bo cube
+2.5% overall mana* null if using bo cube
+29% overall defense* 100% useless for the matchups you use it in
+34% all resistances pointless, you need to have enough res with griff/valk and circ too
+3% faster run/walk I get just 1-2% extra from arreats, statted extra in here
+9% overall stamina useless
+6% life leech useless
+12.5% leap range useless in 1v1
+20 second duration to all warcries null if using bo cube
slightly better chance of putting enemy onto FHR each attack

*assuming you have same listed gear and +4 skills on swap (ie 2x dooms) for pre-bo

lets say 3k life nec (blocker has about this), cb does 1/10 and iirc 1/20 if he has 50 dr(correct me if its wrong)? I think calculating the damage of it at half life on nec works allright, so you do like 37 dmg or so then, 75 before dr, 450 before pvp penalty

now you have 50% cb on grief and 70% on beast, and 15% and 35% with arreats

this would mean 225 cb damage on grief on average hit and 315 on beast with guilli
and 67 on arreat grief and 157 on beast

so ~150 more on grief and ~150 more on beast (rounded down a bit just for sake of easy math)

this is like 2% more damage on grief and 5% on beast when using hl, but cb goes throu bone armor so I find it pretty cool against mb necs (for nb I use 63 fcr), usually I use circ anyway for higher chance of ow thou

now hammerdins have like 5k life and you might not use HL there so the cb would add about 4% on grief hit and about 10% on beast hit

these calculations are kinda flawed but you can see that cb cant really be overlooked anyway, someone should make proper calculations on this I guess

now this aint really THAT huge difference in damage but still its enough to push the average damage higher than arreats while most of the extra stats of arreats are totally useless in this duel

someone should calculate the damage per hitcheck (including chance to hit, lets say they'd have 15k def and be same level), that will push arreats closer at least

Yes but..

arreats crit=1-(1-0.32)*(1-0.35)=55.8
guil crit =1-(1-0.31(?))*(1-0.50)=65.5

With cth 59%(guil) and 62%(arreats) = 5% more hits

So in same time for both arreats crits 55.8*1.05=58.6

So guil will crit more often (~65 times for every ~58 time with areats) and therefore reach the 7500 mark more often (for 75% chance of recovery animation).

you dont need to analyze crits seperately.. just multiply damage with crit chance and it describes the average aggregate damage(non cb non ow nonele dmg)
