No Str
Assuming to have 31 scs with 20 life (res wont matter that much vs a baba)
Lvl 20 bo (max on other char than a baba)
Sacred targe (the best sheild, lowest req, easiest to get 75% block)
2 Skillers, 44 life (1 from max)
So no energy/str. Dex for the block, like 12x i think it is. Not that much anyhow at lvl 90-92...

How the hell could it be possible to get more life morotsjos? If we assume that 08 bks wont change life like 2k... It sounds like it will in your posts.

I must say i think smiters over 5k life should be pretty hard to get.

I'm too tired to bother with calcs. If you really want to know I suggest you ask Fusa. He topped 5k life in 1.10, without torch and with 9 skillers. And no bugged gear. This guy doesn't have base str, and with weak bk rings he has to invest alot into dex for maxblock. Yet he makes it sound like noone except him has a smiter with over 4k life...

Anyway, I find it laughable that he thinks that smiters (and druids lol) stands any chance versus a competent barb. Especially this weak one with crap def, low life in relation to damage/defense and no foh lol.
Imo it's quite irrational to use bk rings for +skill while not using 9 pala combats. 2x pc skillers+2 GOOD rings >>>> 2x bk+6x 20/5 any day.

U want to duel him same like duel with me? and when he says that he will duel your bvc barb u probably say that u will own him with your hamerdin <muahahaha>. U dont even know how good hamerdin play. U dont even know avarge paly dmg. U dont even know avg paly def. U dont even know avg paly life. U say eni is best armor for smiter and U support this argument by words "all smiters use eni". @steffer dont waste your time for weak-mind gay like @morotsjos. Btw. If he is legit= no 25 dex from belt, no 15 str... ias, all res, dmg red, 1 skill. Though he earns some str from the enigma i assume that he wears.

Some well i seems odd that someone can round up with 5k without 9skillers, and no torch...

But hey, not to dissrespect. Im just a bit curious.

Nope, there is no "secrets" no matter what this guy seem to think. It's not like the thousands and thousands of d2-players haven't discovered everything in 5 years ^^

Fusa PM:ed me his exact gear, but that was some time ago and I dont have them left. If you really want to know just PM him, I'm sure he'll tell you.

The problem with this guide is that it sounds like this is the best build possible and the author is the best smiter in history since he never loses to any barbs. The build has flaws (weak maras/bk/range 2/no foh etc etc) and if a pure smiter dont lose to barbs he should duel better ones.

If you assume equally competent players the barb will win all series of duels vs a pure smiter, and do only slightly worse vs v/t:s.

And yes, I was intrigued when I started talking smiters with Fusa too. There's always something to learn, sigh...

So far I've only met one v/t in europe with a build similar to his. By far the hardest one I've dueled. ~4.5k life, could have had better charms and jewelry though.

this is is actally a nice build. I tested this in single player and the damage was like over 2k. The defence was just over 20k. The resistance was Ok. I think this build would work well if we placed buged items with the common smiter gear people use today, like coh, verdungo. Replacing those bugged items we cant get. I like it:-o nice job steffer
