Come on now. Over the course of time, they require equal effort. The toll on the psyche and physique, in different ways but still, you get the point i'm sure.

There is a hidden logic to very monotonous jobs. Not everyone can do them either, because doing such monotonous work over 50 years is extremely taxing to the psyche, but of course in the completely opposite way of being a doctor. I do agree that being a doctor needs completely different abilities... but it's still just simply a job.

Most people can be a factory worker or do monotonous jobs in a short time .. most can probably do it over medium periods of time.. but not everyone can dedicate their lives to it. They end up depressed and uninspired. That is why it should be paid better. It's the commitment.. and also the stigmatization that follows.

I'm also not saying there should be no difference...
