it's exciting with patch and all but you'll be in for some disappointment if you think this patch will have any in-game changes, they specifically stated it'll focus on making the game run better on modern systems.. it's obviously a first step, we'll probably see atleast another patch this year (with some content one can hope)

agreed, but it seems most already understand this. Everyone just hyped because its an actual diablo 2 patch, lol. It could have been a patch that made the game make a dialogue upon entering battle.net saying "Hello, *username*", and we'd all be super hyped xD

it really is^^ Shows how passionate many diablo II fans really are.
My inbox has already received several messages from long gone faces that retired, that logged in here as soon as the news spread. all super hyped.
lets hope blizzard realize what an opportunity this is. The next reset might be a blast if they get on top of some of the botting/duping.
(Yes im aware who im talking to buddy, and I'm not naive enough to underestimate exploiters to wish for full fixing of exploits hehe)

No matter the type of update, a new patch will likely break the K.

May be fixed, may not be. Either way, it's good to see Blizzard still doing something. I'll install on my MacBook Pro tonight
