What worrywart said is correct. If you think merging the realms is a good idea you are retarded. Electricity is not magic. It takes time aka "ping" for a signal to travel great distances. If you force asians to connect to a game server in the us, you can expect ping over 800ms or about a full second FOR EVERY ACTION not including lag spikes and added delays from wifi, etc... It would be unplayable. And before you go telling me technology has come a long way, please refrain. I majored in industrial electronics and you can take my word when i say the only thing that can make ping remotely better is a very cold wire and/or fiber optic cables. That is why even google has servers in every country to make sure everyone has good ping. Path of exile has servers all over too, and they are by no means outdated. Its not a matter of how much money or time or man hours. Oh and a gigabit internet connection doesnt change your ping. The payload is just bigger if want/need it. Its like two cars that go at the same speed and reach destination at the same time. Cept one of them is a huge fuckin truck that can carry way more "data". People dont understand getting gigabit connections wont make ping better and wont make a game run any faster.

Also, d2 is already hd. Keep same tiles and ratios just make the window bigger so you can see more tiles intead of zooming in on 7x7 at a time. In other words just get multires d2 its alteady a thing.

I agree with worrywart on the merge thing it can't be happen at least with the technology right now.... As for blizzard I believe that with a very simple upgrade of just better graphs or lag fix bug fix dupe fix and that to cost 20$ would get some ppl back in game ofc I don't believe they do it cause they won't earn money by that

I also believe that they don't fking care about it as a company owner they care for money and right now money is on new games with monthly payments for playing plus the buying of the game

theyre a big company. they can make many products. as long as theres a profit in doing a game without monthly sub, they'll do it. the owners would expect efficiency on all levels.

the graphics look great zoomed out and easily match a modern game thanks to pre rendered graphics. its a myth that d2 has bad graphics

if they ever did hd diablo 2 they need to make it pre rendered and use sprites not this ugly 3d crap that is diablo 3. cartoony proportions and rounded objects

Never will pay monthly for a game even if thet.remaster Diablo 2 and make it monthly payed game i wilk quit playing it !!!

if a game is totally cleaned grom third party softwares and dupes and shops and ect.. than i may think about paying monthly
