if you compare this item to the plain stats, the socketed jewel is 29ed/40ar/7fhr/9max. so for once, perfect item socketed with imperfect jewel is always looking a bit unpleasant. but my main problem with that jewel is that it falls under the ed/max bug since it is socketed in a non-weapon item

Good chance the hat/jewel both pre-date that bug being common knowledge.

might be rhe case. the item stats look like the current version, but i dont know if or when there was an older version of Jalals in the game
