I wouldnt use eschuta over CM with a non facet setup, you lose too much dmg vs Storm casters


Also not convinced about the 4 facet armor of the whale either, may just stick with enigma / viper + CM + Spirit

Also when you say "some dmg"... your dmg is 50% lower that's not just "some" for 8 players games

It's all a trade-off my friend - you ultimately can't build something with AFK levels of survivability, that hits all of the breakpoints, and does P8 levels of damage. You can really only pick two of those, and which two you pick is really up to you.

I think what I want is impossible yeah... slowly reaching that conclusion... was hoping for survivability with max dmg clear speed approaching that of an hdin

at the expense of not dying, which must be the critical factor, just use what was suggested re: max block, max res, max dr. you damage still still be insane (assuming merc has infinity).

1x FCR Ring
15+ FCR Amulet

Will hit 117fcr breakpoint

I have all perfect gears already (p griffon, 4 x 5 5 die matching jmoe, 4 x 5 5 matching ds of the whale, 2 sorc 20fcr 19 all res + other mods ammy, 805 comined res tri res fhr 24mf boots, 10 x 37+ life skillers, 2020 torch, 17 20 10 anni, 2 x 10fcr high str life all res 10mf rings, etc)

Gear isn't an issue fg either, my goal was finding the best survivability / dmg mix.

The faceted shield and armor together are overkill and full safety with SS wizspike etc is too slow to.

I learned alot along the way, still trying to find best "efficient frontier" spot so to speak.

My ideal setup was something along the line of this :

At least 33k dmg vs Storm casters in d2 planner
40 dr / max block OR some dr and redemption from Phoenix
117fcr
75 all res
2.5k life

But it seems impossible, you either got to sacrifice dmg (crescent moon spirit arachs +1 rings etc ) or survivability (ss, bfists, tgodz, Verdungo, dstar etc)

In the end Hdins look stronger pvm

I think the build I posted is the best balance of survivability & damage, it was my go-to build for hardcore. but there's a million ways to do it/change it up

You could do Ber in vmagi & ss if you think the facets are overkill, to hit 51% DR

Phoenix like you mentioned also great for mana+life Regen & higher light/fire res

Edit: hdin definitely better for chaos, light sorc can be better for baals
