It has been years since I've checked, but I think you used to be able to lift a corpse while you had an item on cursor. If the corpse contains items, I believe it will delete the item on your cursor.

You cannot interact with stash or corpse if you got an item on cursor anymore on bnet. They reversed the stash once, and then applied the fix on it again. In his situation, it's not even possible to interact with his corpse legitly because the item is already on the cursor.
