I think they more so where pushing stuff for blizzcon. Like classic team, being the relevant one, becoming ready to announce WC3 reforged. Aka D2 classic patch mess low prio. But sure, the disaster that D:I/blizzcon is/was, is surely an intencive to care for their legacy Diablo games abit.
Hopefully we get more care moving forward. About remaster and D4; sure wake me up when that happens. Ill believe any such things when i see it. Plus it will most lilely (like with certainty) suck just as bad as D3. AKA i have accepted that I'm not the customer that blizzard in 2018 want, and neither is there any decency in that company activisionblizz to respect their makers, and thus I am moving on.
Hate to say this, but worrywart being the most critical and skeptical troll around, was 100% correct aboit everything in this regard.
Maybe I'll find another ARPG that can measure up to d2 (PoE doesnt have pvp and also it lacks polish, aswell as dome others. Not a bad game by any means ofc)
Until then, I'm here; and ww glitch was a deal breaker. Had to be fixed. Gg
I don't think this "fix" has anything to do with the diablo immortal backlash. The d2 playerbase that know about the ingame issues is so small that even if all of them started upvoting the new trailers and giving positive feedback it wouldn't make any noticeable difference. They know this for a fact.
Plus, it takes them months to push out patches, they reverted 3/4 of their recent work and will be attempting something similar soon.
Don't get too excited about blizzard taking care of d2 from now on. They won't.
As for poe, there's pvp. And there's a lot more polish on the game content than on d2, they keep layering on QoL changes and options for gameplay or crafting or whatever you want. you have near infinite end game (actually infinite for this season) too.
No game will replace d2 unfortunately, none of them carry the same memories or nostalgia. For me at least
