So I was talking to a girl and somehow gaming friends came up. I mentioned I used to play A LOT of D2 and have made some amazing friends that I’ve never even shook hands with or seen face to face. I continued to explain that I would have NO hesitation whatsoever letting any one of you stay at my house, go out for drinks with you, etc.
She found it very hard to grasp the concept that although I’ve never actually met you lot, I’ve made life long friends, most of who I’ve known longer than any of my “real life friends” through a GAME.
Thinking about it, it is quite an odd yet incredible bond we all share and I am very glad I played that damned game for as long as I did and still keep in touch with most of the people I did play with.
Love you all.
I've tried explaining that shit to my dad actually, he just doesn't get it.
I'm the same though man, someone comes to NZ from D2 and you've got a bed, np.
It has been real nice seeing old faces on D2 lately.... Walt, Diz, Kyle, Tony... cool just baaling, killing monsters like the old days.
Feels like fun again too.
