As an example:
You and a friend go to the store to buy a loaf of bread. You have $20 and your friend had 5$.
Your friend buys a loaf of bread for $2.50, 50% of his money.
So do you pay $10 for the same loaf of bread, 50% of your money?
I thought not.
It boggles the mind what liberal minds come up with in the name of supposed fairness.
Not 50% perhaps, but say 0.25% and 0.50%. If society and the world was a fair place, then yes, prices should be calculated like that, to prevenet class distinction and ultimately power imbalance. Why should someone that works as a doctor make 50 times more than someone that works as a street sweeper? A little bit of difference is okay, hence my calculations, but too much is unhealthy and unfair.
