i have no clue with wich items you come to 15.xx seconds to kill baal on P8 on slot 2 and 125 fcr and cta on slot 1 --> no way...
would you pm me the setup?

btw:
i have the feeling that the "Crushing Blow: up to xxx,xxx damage per second" is just an average number that does not consider that you deal almost zero dmg when baal comes to low hp. and because of the big numbers of crushing blow the time is dramatically reduced because crushing blow is heavily weighted.
have you tested it?

CtC 5% Amplify is sweet! And maybe 3 Os is an excellent temp weapon? Would you please calculate its time?

Seems pretty accurate, a few test runs, seconds are pretty close unless for a few runs where Baal decided to teleport like a maniac.
yes, you are correct, it shows the average number from the first hit where it does a massive amount of damage to the last hit where it's just going to be a smite damage.

Time to kill takes account of it and test runs seem to agree with it.

It's nothing much, just need a bit of very expensive gears. 3/20 head, 2/20 ammy, CTA on 3hammer+3conc scepter or just HOTO, spirit shield and 1 fcr ring. There you go 125 fcr with CTA and 14k hammer.

Oh, you need one 15 ias jewel on the head slot to reach 6 frame smite as well

How many seconds does a Scepter with CtC 5% Amp with 3 x Ber take to kill Baal in a P8 game btw?


P.S. Crushing Blow reduces 1/8 of Baal's HP. And Baal has 50% DR, so actually 1/16.

Not super great, without the curse 19.5 seconds, slightly slower than last wish.
If the curse kicks in, around 9 seconds. so it should be somewhere between 9 ~ 19.5 seconds each run

So LW > Scepter 4 x Ber > Scepter 3 x Ber > Stormlash = Iron Ward

I just did some Ubers and I always open the portals near Malah, so I checked Scepters for 10 mins and no luck at all

Obviously, Phase Blade is the best weapon base for this magic sword.

For 0 base weapons such as war axe, crystal sword or broad sword, it needs five 15 ias jewels in your build to reach 6 frames.
For -10 base weapons such as military pick, war sceptor or long sword, needs only 3.

You just need 1 for PB, and this frees up sockets in the shield spot, then you can use runewords for the shield.

P8 Baal Killing time rank will be

Scepter (4xBer, with curse) ~ 7 sec > Scepter (3xBer, with curse) ~ 9 seconds > LW = Scepter (4xBer, no curse) ~ 17 sec
> Stormlash (1xBer) = Scepter (3xBer, no curse) = Iron Ward (1xBer) ~ 19 sec
> Grief ~ 27 sec > 14k hammer ~ 31 sec


Remember that curse kicking in is a highly random event. It can proc with the first hit or not proc at all.
So for each run, these magic scepters will range between 7 ~ 17 seconds of killing time.

Still, it is the same as LW, so it is just going through the hassle of trying to get the extremely rare weapon to get that potential to kill P8 Baal in 7 seconds on the best run.
