For bragging rights, a thrill or someone who is rich or doesn't care about losing gear. When you get big boy pants you go to private duels and battle to the death. Hardcore is mostly filled with softcrore players who think playing solo with chicken is hardcore

Stop talking about being rich and coming back just because you have fg in hc. A true player knows the most fun way to come back from an hc death is by getting rushed and geared by a friend. Ofc if you're like me you could just get it all yourself... Been playin this game for awhile now. I think i know the spots by now...

Who'ya kidding? All adept hardcore players, even pvpers, have muscle memory to save & exit. "Duels" consist of trying to 1-hit-KO your opponent because any other significant amount of damage (10% or so) will cause the other to leave in 0.2 seconds.

Lol you are talking about softcover. Hard-core duel is over till someone dies. If you save and exit = immediate loss/disqualified and forever labeled as a dishonorable cuck

That's in theory, but the overwhelming majority of duels in hardcore, when so much is at stake, ends in one player leaving the game. Hardcore duels are essentially about cheating your opponent (e.g. opponent is known to be a lightning sorceress, but suddenly respecs to blizzard before the arranged duel). Of course, you'll find exceptions that are streamed/on youtube, but these are very rare. Just look at all the threads about being tricked (oops, I didn't mean to hostile you).

Well if you playing vs Rands and not inviting a mod/trusted referee then you deserve it.
