So far we have 9 duelers, tourney will begin in 2 weeks. There is no limit on the amount of people who can participate, because we will be using a site that generates the brackets automatically/randomly. I will record the moment I randomize the brackets and the duelers.

For example, in the tournament bracket generator, the names of the duelers are written one per line and then the "randomize seeds" box is checked and generated:

In case we have more than 8 duelers, (for example 10 duelers in the following example), the brackets will look like this:




This is a good way to be able to have more than 8 duelers in the tourney, which will begin in 2 weeks. I will record and post the video here the moment I randomize the brackets so everyone can see it was done fair.

We need to establish the rules about how to advance to the next stage. Its obvious that if you kill your enemy you win automatically. But what happens if your opponent leaves the game or returns to town??. Does it count as a defeat?. Is it going to be only 1 duel? or how many wins? 1 win only? 2 out of 3? 3 out of 5? or what.

The deadline to sign up will be next Friday the 11th. I will post the video showing the randomized brackets next Saturday October 12th. A good date to start the tourney could be the following Saturday October 19th.

Does your char need to have full set equipped @ all times? i.e. no gavel on switch, 2h for charging on switch, etc
Also while you may say no "external" buffs, will ppl be loading in a mule to xfer their prebuff/sorb gear? or having their looter hold it for them? etc etc

I think it would be fair and more fun for this tournament, to have no items on the switch, so it can be 100% fair. This is a full set items tourney, so there is no need to use anything on switch. So, we can add as a rule that before going out to blood moor, both duelers should have no items on switch, to keep the tourney faithful to its name and purpose. So I guess no gavel, etc, for this tourney. Also I think it would be more fair if we duel with no mercs, because someone could be hiding a weapon on the merc and add the mercs weapon (ie: ebotd warpike) to the switch right after going out into the blood moor and nobody would notice. We need to discuss this with Keops and the rest of the participants if they agree and what they think about it.

Level 1 mules can be brought to help the char with the prebuff, I wouldnt want to die with my prebuff gear in my stash.

I dont mind either way, but then it would be unfair for non barbarians. Non barbs will have such very low life and will be easy to beat. Im using a barb so I dont mind, but I would rather have a challenge, and let non barbs be able to bo themselves, and max lvl bo a non barb can have is lvl 20. For that they need to prebuff with bo gear from stash otherwise they wont be able to bo themselves at all and will go out with 1.5k or 2k life, which is nothing.

So, I think it would be fair for everyone to be able to prebuff with stash items, otherwise barbs will win, and I dont want to win the tourney so easy since one of my chars will be a barb.

We can make a vote for this (only participants can vote).

In regards of prebuff items:
1) No prebuff gear, only the items you are using to duel (nothing from stash, mules, etc).
2) Prebuff gear from stash/mules allowed.
3) Null vote.

Ill vote for option #3 (null vote), since I dont mind either way.

Also another question.

To advance to the next stage (besides killing your opponent) in case the opponent leaves the game or returns to town or leaves blood moor:
1) Only 1 win.
2) 2 wins out of 3 fights.
3) 3 wins out of 5 fights.
4) Null vote.

Ill vote for option #2 (2 wins out of 3).


Voting will be over this Friday. Hope the other participants vote on these to decide the rules by this Friday.
