Best spot is Act V. Go up the stairs on the left of the inventory and stand above it and click the inventory box. You should be able to glitch run here easily

The game is not as likely to drop if your character is occasionally performing actions in there.

Those of us too lazy to play a mule for 2 hours find "glitch running" a convenient method.

Another spot is the Arreat Summit (the mountain, not the web site). Stand in the upper right corner of the stairs leading to Worldstone Keep Level 1 and then click the entrance.

When done correctly, the char will be left running forever without going anywhere.

For perming a mule there has to be a running glitch in ACT I and i dont think there is one. The Numpad trick will allow you to constantly cast a skill and is only used as a substitute for holding down shift, i dont think it can be used to perm a char.

I am not utilising the Numpad trick or holding down Shift. I am talking about making a character run while not going anywhere.

Why does it have to be in Act I ?

Anyway, there is actually a running glitch spot in Act I.

Position yourself right behind the wooden pile below the campfire. Click the stash.

ur stuck in running position s as long as u stay that way the game thinks ur stil actually playing so it wont go idle and drop game after so long of idle. atleast i would assume on how that works.
i did it when i wanted t keep my ip's for clone hunting, rather then using a detectable anti-idle program.

look at these 2 quotes and tell me if they go together.....if ur constantly trying to cast a skill, isnt that an action??

yeah but its not running and thats the problem, if your trying to perm a mule by using the numpad trick it doesnt work unless your mule is constantly moving. the numpad trick only idles attacks which dont work for stopping a game dropping.
