Heh heh, yeah ... it sounds good, doesn't it.... same as with alcohol and other demons .... it only starts with the one.. i've been without alcie for 9 months now and decided to do that for life... i cannot even take one little sip of a drink. And it should be the same with gaming and buying gear. One should not even spend 1 cent on it. Personally i think the idea of forum currency is a good idea. But it's like, issue it for free. Then everyone sticks to a fixed price list, with prices ranging from cheap to expensive rating on necessity and usefulness of gear. Maybe with some re-issuing of more currency every ladder start, or something like that. The intricacy of the system should be discussed with importance. But this way, it becomes fair. Nobody can shoot in 50$ and corner the market. And it becomes less tempting for people driven by the demon to set up 50 bots and corner the market... nah, i prefer games to be clean. As i do with life. Alcohol is fun. But everything is fun until the grim reaper tells you you're next on his list. Then you have two choices. Same as with d2 .. to play fair, or play unfair. Keep playing unfair, and you get dissolvement, as your corpse dissolve underground, as d2 has, you have so many different versions and platforms, the player base is scattered. Back in the day, it was life. Now it is death. Yet, i chose life. In relative to alcohol though. But i try to choose life in d2 too, lol xD Dying in hc is not fun. Which leads me to another story:
I was playing a bowa, semi-decked gear, no faith though ..... just playing in act 1 hell, doing tristrun. I went toe to toe with griswold.. he didn't have any magic enchanted damage except fire, so i decided to just stand and shoot and deal damage. I figured, i can tank 1 single punch. I had ~1000 hit points and ~20% all res. I don't remembeer if i was cursed, i guess i must have been, but i don't think so, because i would never tank with amp proc'd. Yet, he 1 punch ko'd me xD I was shocked. It was a shocking experience. So ... never try to tank griswold, lol. Must have been that 5% monster crit that proc'd.. extra strong, fire damage.. that's a 1000 damage right there.
