I joined an in-game trade game with my PnB necro trying to get rid of my existing hrs.
I guess one of them thought I was a newb and whispered me to join a private game.
I did and he said he'd trade me his CoA for my hrs Well, even if it was a dupe, it would be a hell of a trade and I'd probally just give to my uber smiter who never plays non-solo games anyways.
So I agreed but when I tried to trade with him in the trade window, he said it might poof if we traded that way (Sign one of a scammer, trade windows are their enemies). He said to drop the runes and he'd drop his CoA. Then we'd go get the other's items.
Well, I was wary already so I had a cheap Harmony bow on switch just in case I needed to run back and grab my stuff if he tried to scam me.
Sure enough, and I started walking towards him, he grabbed his CoA and equipped vigor and tried to race me to my Hrs.
I beat him but I was still pissed. He said he was sorry, he accidentily clicked his coa as he tried to move forward.
I called BS but wanted ot try something. We did the drop trade again and again he did his scam attempt. This time I said "fine, if you drop your CoA and walk 2 inches to one side, I'll do this one last time before I lable you a scammer". He agreed and I made an iron golem from his CoA and left the game.
