20@ on a circ is just a waste and a circlet without frw is something most necros wont use.

true but with setup that we were discussing you'd have to sock an UM into the circ to max out res, or you simply have to sacrifice another damage piece of equipment in favor of resists which is kinda stupid imo

necro swaps items for almost every matchup.
a necro will not be using a dr setup in a 4v4 situation unless there wasn't amp on the other team.
a 4v4 matchup a necro would almost surely be using max resistance no matter what, in no world should you ever need to use an UM rune in any item to hit max resistance on a necro.

Is my Necro a melee character?

If the answer is no, don't bother with defense.

3x 145res = 435 res

anni 60 torch 60 11sc 121 boots 40 spirit 70 gloves 30 = 401

you are still lacking 34 res to 75@ in hell

5x 20/11 light + fire = 55 each
anni / torch = 40
spirit = 25 light / cold
aldur = 50 fire
1 ring = 20+ fire/light
amulet = 15+ maybe
anya = +30@

so you are loosing +2 all skills and +1 pnb skills to get 34 resistances you lack

damage really doesnt matter bruh, the only matchup that's going to be an issue for necro is ele druid and es sorc
and both of those matchups will heavily rely on you having a good setup vs how much damage you output.

necro isn't a class you will want to take into a pub game and 1v7 people with so you only need a 4v4 setup and some swaps for certain matchups.

I understand that damage isn't everything. What I don't understand is why to sacrifice 3 bone spirit and +3 to all synergies just to get 34 total resists
