Battle.net bans are based on whether your IP is within the residential IP class range or not.

Nothing else, nothing more. When you use a VPN, you are using a business class IP address which they will ban you for using.

correct but incorrect home ips are also targeted at current times.

home ips could always be r/d, which s what an ipban is

Also not that simple since non residential proxies have worked fine for the last handful of years, until today.

same as proxies even when they are legit and as stated on a different connection. Playing long games no quick runs so unfortunatly that is not an realm down issue.

My home ip keeps going up and down. So who tf knows what Blizz is doing.
