Why would they go through the hassle of writing that ad if it was just for fixing d2 to run smoothly on windows 10...

I still believe, we will all find out eventually!
Here's to hoping we get some kind of easter egg and fixes, possibly better resolution, at the very least. Blizzard is losing out on a great opportunity to make a buck in case they don't, they must have seen the reaction of the community for just a tiny ad, so. Hopefully they'll charge like an expac for it, 15-35$ or whatever.

First it has to happen,
and if it will, here's my modest wish list:
We keep our accounts, they don't shut down b.net 1.0
Merge all realms (east/west/eu/asia)
Some bug fixes (anya, full bug)
resolution upg

my dream-that-will-not-happen:
new items (new crafts, recipys, updating how rw works?)
new uber quests/missions (or well an act, plz kty)
Balancing absorb for pvp

Where did this "merge all realms" idea come from? Do you understand what 'ping' is?

Lmk what your ping is connecting to uswest from where you live. Chances are that would be your ping forever, minimum on combined realms. Not to mention your chars and account would have been deleted.

They never cared about playability problems on other windows versions, why would they start caring now? If they can just re release an old title and profit with minimum input, why would they not do that? It's a potential gold mine. Retro games. idk. Judging by the posts i think it's definitely more than a minor optimization.

I used to get that problem on my old PC. I got rid of them by turning something off think it was called Windows zero configuration.
It's tricky though cause if you turn it off permanently you got no internet afterwards. Hated those lag spikes tho.

Maybe there's some way to create a standardised ping for everyone. We put a man on the moon, you telling me it's impossible to have a lag free world wide realm?
