so basically you were scared of a being at a competitive school?

Implying UCSD isnt a competitive school.
And honestly, I dont think you have any idea of the grade deflation that is taking place. Teachers at that school (and mine as well) are under pressure from administration not to give too many A's. If they do give too many A's, teachers are told that they are making the program look too easy and blemishing the university's reputation as a result. Students who are smart, smarter than me even, and put the work in are being given lower grades than they deserve as a result of these policies, which is unfair. It is all just a numbers game.

engineering in general is relevant as is computer, isn't it?
Not really. In most fields of engineering you do very little computer programming. I primarily work with circuits and programming. Fields like environmental engr, mechanical engr, and structural engr do very little of that.

I recently graduated with a degree in EE and am working full time as an automation engineer. You know absolutely nothing about me rather than some silly posts but are assuming many things as well. Your arrogance is causing you to contradict yourself. It's a gaming forum man. Take a step back, breath deep, and relax.
All that schooling will only take you so far. It's a piece of paper to get you in the door. When it comes to an actual job, you won't be ready for what you're going to be asked to do.
While it seems you will be setting yourself up to have a good foundation, there's more to life. This is why I said "God Bless" and I can say that whether or not you believe. I'm asking my God to bless you. He doesn't have to be yours.
Have fun with your internet pride. It's less valuable than a full time McDonald's worker discussing quantum physics.

Grats on your first well thought out post in this thread. I am fully aware of schooling simply being a piece of paper that gets your foot in the door, and that when it comes to the actual job I won't be ready for what they will expect. However, we must prepare ourselves somehow for what they will expect. And attending a great university is a solid start IMO. Jokes and fun are all fine by me. But unprovoked thread crapping and direct insults are rude and uncalled for.
