what im seeing is non d2 players rebranding d2 terms, like instead of iso ft pc you have "LF" "O" "N" + "TWB" and "sell" - again rebranding imported from other games. im a west player we dont see these terms in the game list until very recently.
i just love when they use the term "DPS" for most d2 damage instead of for example fire damage from fire wall. my point is the players are a new generation and mostly dont bot except for vet players who do bot.
It's not rebranding, it's the convergence of communities. While US West typically used ISO/FT, Europe used LF/O/N. This is what you would typically see if you looked on the old-style battlenet forums around 2004.
So these strange terms you're seeing are not brought in by a "new generation". They have always been around. But now you are trading with people from Europe since you can now trade between regions.
